Methodology and limitations
A company is assigned to the country named in the official NATO DIANA announcement or, where the announcement is silent, the country of the company's own public registration. Country means the location of the selected entity, not the nationality of its founders. Companies selected in more than one cohort contribute one record per cohort, so country totals count selection records rather than unique companies. Four tracked records currently have no publicly stated country and are excluded from country totals and from the map.
Alliance Tech Tracker is independent and unofficial and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NATO or DIANA. Where a value is not published, records show "Not publicly available" rather than an estimate. See the full methodology.
